Why You Won’t Find Me on Instagram or Facebook – and Where My Heart Lives
If you’re wondering why I chose a quieter path, I explain more here.

Dear Friend, this is a sanctuary for the weary heart, a soft place where your story is honored and your soul can breathe. I’ve chosen quiet, healing spaces over noisy platforms. Here’s where you can find me – and why this sanctuary exists apart from likes and algorithms.
This space — and the words I write — are not meant to perform for an algorithm. They are meant to breathe, to rest, and to remind you that you are not alone.
Why I’m Not on Instagram or Facebook
For my own healing, I stepped away from the noise and performative energy of platforms like Instagram and Facebook. I went no-contact, deleted my old accounts, and chose a season of quiet — and it has been life-giving. I’ve discovered that true healing happens in slower, sacred spaces, not where we are asked to constantly produce or compare. You won’t find me there because I don’t want either of us to feel pressured to be anyone but who we are, here and now.
Where You Can Find Me
Instead, you can find me in spaces that feel nourishing and true: @rayafaithwriter
YouTube: A quiet space for Body Doubling Saturdays — for nervous-system-friendly moments of art therapy, Bible journaling, and listening to my blog posts read aloud in a calm and safe voice.
TikTok: While I don’t live on TikTok, I occasionally post soft affirmations and quick reflections to reach those who might need to hear, ‘You are loved.’ I care deeply about this younger generation and want to leave little lights of encouragement there.
Substack: Where I send occasional love letters, quiet whispers. And read in small doses those who nourish my soul who have influenced my healing journey so long as it matches my own.
Why There Are No Comments or Likes Here
You’ll notice there are no comments, likes, or view counts here. That is intentional. This space isn’t about numbers or proving our worth — it’s about presence. I want you to breathe as you read, not feel the noise or pressure of engagement metrics. Here, you are free to simply be.
A Quiet Invitation
This is not a space for trends or pressure — only Presence. Here, and on YouTube, you’ll find a quiet sanctuary for your heart, mind, and soul. If you wander over to TikTok, you may find me there with a gentle word or two. But mostly, my heart is here with you — building a space of rest and grace.
Take with you this reminder: your voice matters, your story is sacred, and you are already enough.
With Love,
Raya
You are welcome to join us at our companion sanctuary
On YouTube where Jesus is with us.
Where we are safe. Where we can breathe. Be.
Where each week I quietly read my blog posts with calming visual imagery, share my watering plant routine with Living Water affirmations to promote our healing and calm our nervous systems, offer silent Bible and art journaling body doubling and invite you to join our journey through Psalms with Jesus as our weekly guide.
Come as you are.
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20
For the spiritually homeless, the ones aching to belong, not perform, the overstimulated souls craving rest, Jesus is with us.
We are safe. We can breathe. Be.

Watering Roots: Rooted in God’s Love
Just like the plant at the beginning of this post, I’m learning to grow slowly — in the light of God’s love, in safe soil, with rhythms that honor my humanity.
If you’re seeking a quiet place to rest and be nourished — body, mind, and spirit — you’re warmly invited to join me in our online sanctuary.
It’s not performative. It’s not loud.
Just presence. Peace. And Living Water.
You’re always welcome at the table.
