This is The Gentle Rise
a transition from trauma into restoration,
from captivity into clarity,
from surviving into being God-raised.

The table is still here.
The soil is still holy.
And Jesus is still the one holding it all together.

Jesus, the Anchor of Hope Amid Life’s Storms

Even During Life’s Tsunamis

No storm is too powerful for Jesus. He is the unshakeable anchor of hope, even when life’s tsunamis threaten to pull us under.

Written in the midst of the hurricane’s eye holding on for dear life. I pray it brings you comfort and hope as you hold on knowing you too are not alone.

Do you have Him? Real Jesus. I pray you do. I pray you have The One who will brave the eye of the storm you are facing, who despite its potential torrential rains and damaging hurricane gales that could surely wipe you out under the weight of its wreckage, remains.

Jesus is all it takes to weather the worst storms this earth can havoc. Reminding you, though the earth gives way, and the tsunami waves swell over your head without ceasing, crashing, leaving you gasping, no damage from its wrath eternal. This is as close to hell as you will ever get, praise the Lord.

There is purpose in the affliction He allowed. Never in vain. Your pain. The heavy drowning sensation filling your lungs while sucking in the gushing water because how could it not, all while you manage to stay afloat on the tiny vessel midst the monstrous storm. The drowning is not lethal. He will use this trial. Hold on. For dear life.

Fragile. Teeth chattering, bones and sinew shivering in the lonely, chilling cold. But Alive because, with you, He stayed breathing Life into your lungs. Heart. Mind. His Word. His Truth. His Promises that do not fail. Jesus not growing faint; enduring the long haul some storms take. A three-cord rope not easily broken tethered together by He who is steadfast. Father. Son. Spirit. The weak made strong.

When darkest transgressions, losses, hit out of nowhere threatening everything you hold dear, I pray you have Jesus who sticks through it with you, throwing God’s promises like life preservers no matter how long it takes. Who sees the storm coming and stays unafraid. Unmoved. Whose foundation is solid in Gospel truth. Who takes the oar and paddles in the David size vessel against the Goliath storm. For you. Fear not.

Faithful to the Faithful One, worth it. Even if their repentance never comes. And, you eventually say: Done. No more. Fighting. To be seen in the eye of the storm. SOS ignored. Dismissed. And, you release the anchor moored to your hopes and dreams and the could have been to chart a new path attached, tethered only to the One who is worthy. Jesus our Lord and King.

Full of His grace and mercy wherever He leads after the storm. New Life Creation. In Him. Still holding fast to the only thing that matters – the true Gospel winning. No matter how small the circle He shows you. In your very own home. In your very own heart. His love and grace and mercy winning. At all costs. Not one more ounce siphoned to the one whose only goal is to steal, kill and destroy; not bring Life.

A Friend closer than a brother, sister to see what you can not beyond the horizon because your vision is blurred from the waves thrashing, salt-filled-water stinging your eyes. All your open wounds you never think will be healed, burning. The sun rising casting Light on the dark that for so long encompassed your view.

And like that He comes to you like the Spring rain as He promised and God reminded during the frightening monsoon. Through it all Jesus remained in the life boat beside you pointing to the Hope before you and the Joy that awaited as you gripped the vessel for dear life.

Until eventually, you stand firm on solid, not sinking ground, to see not the debris of what the enemy hath taketh, but the rainbow that fills the entire sky proclaiming over you the Promises of the One true God who keeps, no matter what Life throws at you and what storm threatens you, His promises.

And, after the rainbow fills the entire sky you can dance in the rain singing Hallelujah. A song for those who have Overcome and Survived rising up to the One who Saves. Abba Father who provided Him in your greatest need on earth. Lowly and despised.

A treasure on earth to have Jesus by faith, by His blood coursing through your veins. His breath the oxygen to your Life, and His Sword, the Word, the Victory over every hell on earth storm.

Forgive those who simply could not brave the storm. Who saw the eye and looked the other way. Took cover. Ran in the opposite direction. Leaving you. Abandoned. Release them and their shortcomings, their failings losing the power to harm anymore. Forgive and taste the sweet victory of freedom from all that ties and binds holding you captive no more.

Let the Gospel win. At all costs. Starting with you. By trusting the One who is trustworthy to restore. None of this will be in vain. Your future secure. Praise our God and King. Dance with your Savior in the rain atop the debris, free from the pain. No longer cursing the salt water’s sting, but giving thanks for the wounds it cleaned. Those invisible scars refined to gold. Shimmering in the all consuming Light. Warm and unafraid.

Soak in the gift of knowing Him more. No longer shaken. Solid. Firm. Having weathered the storm that brings you closer to Him. His Sovereignty. His goodness. His never leaving. His blessing poured out. For you. Forever. Our God reigns.

Salvation yours. Eternal. Your faith restored. Victorious. Now and Forevermore. Selah. Amen and Amen. Praise Jesus. Savior. Friend. King.
